Abstract

|
Gas gangrene caused by Clostridia as an anaerobic, gram-positive bacillus becomes recently a very rare disease entity with characteristics of acutely progressive muscle necrosis clinically and little infiltration of inflammatory cells histologically
The author experienced a case of the disease in a 42-year-old man, which was managed successfully with prompt ablation of the affected parts appropriate systemic antibiotics and antitoxin therapy.
